April Sunshine State Reader is Safe at Home

This is the April Sunshine State Reader. I have used a strategy to help build my reading stamina. I set a timer for 40 minutes and found a quiet spot to read. I did not allow any distrations and my focus was only on what I was reading. Suprisingly, I read a fourth of the book. It is very interesting and I am learning a bit about baseball.

Set a timer for yourself and dedicate time to just reading without interference from t.v, computers, games, cell phones, etc. Let's see how you do.

Remember the Book Nook for Safe at Home will be held on May 11. Question are due to Mrs. Appelman by MAY 9th. Click here for the questions

  1. I decided to use another strategy this weekend and reread portions of the text that I had questions about. I reread the part when Gracie talks to Nick about his parents. I think this was a turning point for him.

  2. I think that Coach William's put his reputation on the line by selecting Jack to be on the Varsity team. At first, I was not sure if Jack was going to be able to overcome his nervousness and do well.
